Sheldon Saywell, President
Sheldon founded Saywell Contracting Ltd. in 1999. A Gold Seal Certified contractor, he has 20 years experience in the business and has sat on various task forces and committees in the mid-Vancouver Island area. Sheldon is also a director of the Mid Island Construction Association. -
Julie Pimentel, Office Administrator
Julie has been with Saywell Contracting for 10 years. She is our accounting controller and is responsible for managing all financial operations of the company as well as supervising and coordinating administrative support staff activities. -
Lorne R. Gale B. Eng, Project Manager
Lorne has a degree in mechanical engineering and boasts 9 years of project management experience, overseeing many diverse operations including multimillion dollar projects with up to 35 men on site. -
Jackie Belanger, Project Manager
Jackie is a Civil Engineering Technologist and specializes in the restoration of existing buildings. She has 10 years experience in the construction industry working on residential and commercial building envelope projects. As a project manager for Saywell Contracting Ltd., Jackie is responsible for managing the building envelope restoration projects in Victoria. She is currently undertaking courses to become Gold Seal Certified. -
Mary Jo Wilson, Safety Coordinator
Mary Jo possesses an Occupational Health & Safety Certificate of Technology and her Construction Safety Officer designation, which supports her role as Safety Coordinator for Saywell Contracting Ltd. With her background in commercial construction, she assists with Project Administration and is pursuing her Gold Seal Certificate. Mary Jo also has an interest in Green Building and has experience and training in LEED projects. -
Peter Yoon, Site Superintendent
Peter has been a Red Seal Carpenter since 1992 and has built more than 300 single family dwellings in the Central Vancouver Island area since 1990. Peter also has extensive commercial and institutional experience with projects such as four- storey wood frame condo projects and 20 plus storey concrete towers on the Island and the Greater Vancouver area. -
Sid Rashbrook, Site Superintendent
Sid is Gold Seal Certified and achieved his Building Envelope Sciences Certificate thorough the Canadian Construction Association in 2004. Sid has worked on many million dollar plus building remediation projects on Vancouver Island. He is also a journeyman carpenter and is certified in Construction Estimating, Project Management and Architectural and Structural Drafting. -
Terry Cody, Site Superintendent
Terry Cody has had a passion for building since high school and has worked in almost every capacity from framing houses to designing, site development and sales. He has supervised numerous large construction projects such as Berwick on the Lake in Nanaimo, Onyx at Craig Bay and Avista in Parksville.
